Default Pulse Vacuum Hub Seal 2000 Ranger 4 x 4

I am rehabbing a 2000 Ranger 4 x 4 and running into an issue with the Pulse vacuum hubs.

I have removed the existing PVH actuators from the hubs, replaced vacuum lines and tested the system. Passenger side now locks and unlocks without issue. However, the driver sided has a seal leak that is causing that side to not engage.

The lead appears to be at the O-Ring on the metal wheel bearing hub, because I can move the Actuator slightly and it will hold vacuum, but not when I let it go.

So, is the large O-ring available separate, and if so, where do I get one?

Any part numbers or O-ring dimensions would be a fantastic help.

Thanks,

Tom

Pull that crap and put manual hubs in.

You'll just keep having problems with that system. I've not heard of anybody not switching to manuals when they encountered problems.

Super easy

So, the seals appear to be the same ones as the rear hub seals for drum brakes. Motorcraft BRS109 Seal. I got them through Amazon for something like 3.99.

The passenger side hub locks and vacuum is applied and releases when vacuum is off. The driver side works about 50% of the time. The new seal helped, and the hub holds vacuum, but I think the original hub is worn and or dirty.

I would like to get the original system working, and new vacuum lines have helped. Now, I am looking for a good used hub. If anyone has a vacuum hub that works, but is just laying around, please shoot me a message.

Thanks,

Tom
