Default Is there no single Mercon V full synthetic?

It would seem as though all the synthetic transmission fluid is listed as either multi-vehicle or Dexron/ Mercon compatible. I would like to have a full synthetic Mercon V only. Does it exist?

I haven't seen any. Only aftermarket brands that say it's compatible. Like Amsoil and Royal Purple as examples. I think I used Mobil 1 in my transmission last time I changed it but it's a manual, so its less critical than an automatic. If you have an automatic, I would stick strictly with Mercon V or Ford approved alternatives.

For my power steering fluid, I stick with Mercon V and change out the fluid in the reservoir every three years when I change the brake fluid.

Thanks Mike, I do have a manual, and I have seen that Castrol makes an all Mercon V non-synthetic. Think I'm going with that. Anyone ever used it? Let me know what you think.

Good news is the M5 is not picky. Folks have had good luck with synchromesh, which are usually fully synthetic. The spec went from Mercon to Mercon V and since Dex/Merc is compatible replacement for Mercon, there's lots of fully synthetic Dex/Merc jobs out there.

In short, in my opinion, for a M5 manual trans, the extra cost of synthetic isn't really worth it.
