95 4.0 transfer case problem.
Just started her up after an extended leave for Cancer treatments. Truck had not moved in months. Now I can hear the Transfer case motor working and it will go into 4 wd Low and high but it grinds in reverse if not in 4 wheel Low. Any ideas? Fuses are all fine.

Re: 95 4.0 transfer case problem.
Common issue with this transfer case. The shift fork rail wears the case halves and allows the fork to move the range hub out of position. Will need repaired or replaced. Just a note, the price of parts can be high.
