anyone know about a mini spool or locker for the 96 2wd 2.3 5 speed rear end?i have been looking but i havent found anything yet. i dont wanna weld the gears but... i also dont wanna spend a ton! eventually gonna, up the tire size and lift it also but, wanna beef up some other stuff first

If you are building a mud buggy or something that won't ever see asphalt, a c-clip mini spool might be ok, but if you plan on driving it on asphalt at all, NO. It is a bad idea to lock the rear end solid.

Now a locker or limited slip would be fine. There are plenty of options for the 8.8 thanks to fox body mustangs.
