Default Slight jerk when automatic changes gears...Normal?

Is it normal to feel a slight jerk or bump when an automatic Ranger changes gears? 1st to 2nd gear is pretty smooth. But 2nd to 3rd especially I almost always feel a jerk.

Would like to hear from other Ranger owners with an automatic transmission. Thanks!

You just answered your own question. Shifts throughout the gears should be smooth.
