Hey guys. I have a 1998 Ranger XLT 3.0L 4x4 5speed manual. It has 207K miles on it. I replaced the clutch when I bought it in August with 202K miles on it. I then drove from SoCal to Illinois with no issues.

Now, when I slow down to make a turn, I shift out of 3rd, and it is very difficult to shift into 2nd or 1st. The slower I am going, the more likely I am to be able to put the shifter in 1st or 2nd, but it is still a crap-shoot. About half the time, I end up having to stop entirely, then it goes into 1st with no issues, and away I go. The clutch pedal feels normal.

What is going on? Any ideas would be greatly appreciated. Thanks

Is the oil level ok, what are you running in it for oil, or the syncro's could be going bad.

If it is your syncro's you should be able to shift just fine if you double clutch
