Default Correct output shaft seal for M5OD?

Hello,

I have a 92 Ranger with the M5OD transmission. Or at least that's what the ID plate in the drivers door says. I just replaced the slave cylinder (and clutch, pressure plate and rear main seal while I had it off) since it was leaking, and I decided to replace the output shaft seal as well, and bought National part number 7692S from Rock Auto. However I am having a hell of a time getting this seal installed, it seems to be just a bit oversized. Does anyone know if this is the correct part for this transmission? Or is there some secret to getting this thing in there?

Thanks,
Allen

there are 2 different seals listed on my end, depending on trans ID number stamped on the case

Any chance you can send me the brand and part numbers for both of them? I'm willing to buy two more seals if one of them will work, I just need to get this thing back on the road. I don't see any stamped ID numbers on my trans. There is a label that looks like it used to have a bar code and some other information on it, but it is so faded that I can't read it any more.

If you could send them so I could do a cross reference check that would be awesome.

Just an FYI for anyone who might stumble on this thread: it turns out the first output shaft seal I got was manufactured poorly, because the second one I got went in easily.
