Default Steering Wheel Noise

2003 Ford Ranger XL, 2WD, 5 speed, engine is 3.0L V6. 93,000 miles on the vehicle. Original owner. New tires, ball joints, shocks all the way around less than 10,000 miles. Recent alignment done found no problems with the front end. I am experiencing when driving a clanking noise like something is loose and slight vibration from the steering wheel. Happens when the weather is hot. Rare for vibration or clanking noise to happen in the cool of the morning. I read about Column Shift Clamp Brushing and Steer Column Bearing could be the problem. Where to take the vehicle to have those items checked out. Is this a common problem for the Ford Ranger? Have other owners experience this vibration or clanking noise from the steering wheel. Thanks
