Default Light/small vibration 2003 Edge V-6 5 speed manual

Recently bought a 2003 Ranger Edge, 2wd, Regular Cab, 5 speed Manual.
Everything seems great with the truck, 126,000 miles.
My concern, about 35 mph, Im feeling a bit of a vibration in the Gear Shift. I been believing it was just the feeling of the tires/engine. I get the truck up to 70mph, there's a bit of a humming sound, with little vibration again. It's not intolerable, but, if anyone can chime in and help me avoid a problem I would be appreciative. Tires are all stock, on Premium rims, got good tread, steering is tight, no play, and seems to be aligned well.

Try shifting into 2nd gear...

Just kidding..

There is a bushing in the shifter, as it gets old and deteriorates there tends to be more vibration transmitted through it but it also tends to get sloppy in the gearing and the "notchiness" of the shifting in/out of the gates feeling is taken away. Some say it should feel a little looser as you move to the higher gears but can't recall why that was said.

Not saying that is the absolute problem but a $14 bushing kit is available on Rockauto.com might be a solution otherwise it could be a trans mount, or a bearing issue to check for.

Does the humming sound change pitch with acceleration/deceleration or does it seem constant but just increases in volume with speed?
