Good rpms, no power
My grandson just purchased a 2000 Ranger 4X4 with 200k on the engine. Seems to run real good, engine revs easy but no power, almost like tranny is slipping and not getting power to rear wheels. Any help or suggestions would be greatly appreciated, thank you

Re: Good rpms, no power
Sorry😁, 2000 Ranger, 4.0, automatic, 200k miles, 4x4, engine sounds good, no "unusual" sounds, when you step on it rpms go up but not much power to wheels

Re: Good rpms, no power
The trans could be slipping, does the trans oil smell burnt, or is it real brown looking, could be the filter is clogged.

Re: Good rpms, no power
Low on trans fluid. Which means there is some damage done to the internals of the trans...
