Default Plug and play performance chips

Hi all! I just wanna hear from you guys, whats your thoughts on these plug and play chips? In South Africa we have “ChipBox”, Race Chip” and “Uni-Q” available and the all quote a 20kW and 50nm (roughly) improvement while improving fuel consumption up to 1L/100km. It all seems a bit too good to be true.....

Has anyone had one installed?
Looking foreward to reading your replies!

I'd stick to potato chips Instead.

There were multiple threads about these scam / miracle chips from years back I'm sure you'll find them via the search feature still.

Default Re: Plug and play performance chips

I finally got a reply from racechip south africa! According to them they pulled the racechip program for the 2.2tdci ranger as it made a neglegable diffrence in power output and that it would not be worth the price.
