Help me find the right part.
I know I'm probably getting on everybody's nerves about this but I won't find answers if I don't ask questions. And I only started a new thread because I figured it would be better for getting attention.
So the noise in my truck is definitely coming from the transmission. My B.I.L's dad said it's more than likely the throttle bearing, and that I could get that part and new clutch packs (I think that's what he said) for about $180. Problem is I can't find any part called a throttle bearing. At least not from Rock Auto. I have found Main/Output bearings, clutch pilot and release bearings, countershaft bearings and a manual transmission bearings. But these parts range from $2-$40.
So what part am I actually looking for? I'm somewhat knowledgeable with vehicles but when it comes to transmissions and engines I'm still clueless. But I'm trying to learn so any help would be greatly appreciated.

Throwout bearing is the term or word I believe you're looking for and it comes with a new clutch kit

Re: Help me find the right part.
I'm not sure who the "guru" is but nothing is getting replaced until I'm 100% sure the problem is getting fixed. And when it comes to the transmission, it's going to a shop to get done.
Only reason I bothered replacing any other parts that were mentioned, like the u-joints, is because they're cheap, easy, and after 10 years I think certain parts on this truck need swapped out regardless.
