Ok so this is hard to explain.

When ever I accelerate to get on the interstate I hear a rattling sound. But only is 4th and 5th gear when accelerating hard or trying to stay over 65. It gets progressively worse the faster I go or the harder I press the gas. It sounds like it's coming from my tranny. I guess something worth Notting is that the clutch is is overdue to be changed. But I don't THINK that's the problem.

Someone please tell me it's not the transmission...

just kidding, no way to be sure. BUT if i were you, i would at the least check the fluid level in both the transmission and the rear differential...
...THEN i would check ll the u-joints you have (are you 4wd?).

i'd like to know what exactly it is though. keep us posted!

Self help is always the best starting place on these matters. So.....start by crawling under there and looking, feeling, pressing, etc for obvious problems, like.......loose things, including heat shields.

Not a 4-wheel drive. ill check the fluids. i actually want to change them out anyways.
