Default Something is binding.....

I just brought my new to me '98 xlt 4x4 4.0 extended cab home a few days ago and I'm having some problems with it.

-Doesn't crank over in the cold but will if you tap on the starter. I assume it needs a starter.
-Something in the rear end binds/locks up when going forward and will just spin one tire and the truck won't move. Reverse is perfectly normal. The drivers side is the one staying put. It has 100% new brakes from hydraulics to hardware with like 10 miles on the whole system. I pulled the drum off and something just doesn't feel right when putting the drum on but everything looks right. I've done the drum brakes on my 99 many times and they are the same 10" brakes. Also this truck has an R6 ( 8.8 3.73 limited slip) so I'm even more surprised it won't move.
Any help or insight would be very much appreciated? Thanks in advance!!

So did you buy it knowing it had this issue or did it just happen? Could be something in the differential or a snapped axle shaft. Both are very rare and would only occur from hard use but possible. Can you spin the tire by hand with the rear axle off of the ground and the truck in neutral?

Okay, here's what I found.
Passenger side wheel cylinder one of the pins missed and was in no mans land.
Drivers side park brake cable was stuck just slightly engaged, sawed it off for now

Hopefully that will get you going again. Much more likely to be something like that than what I suggested. Unless you enjoy being foolish with your truck lol

I literally have put ~10 miles on the thing. Figures out that when I did the brakes I must have gotten the park brake cable to extend ever so slightly; so I sawed it off for now
