Hi guys. I have an actual axle swap question unlike some other people here. So I am getting ready to swap an Explorer axle from a 1999 with about 160k miles into my Ranger. I'm going to pick the axle up this weekend from the local LKQ. I went last weekend but didn't have the right socket for the driveshaft bolts (I thought it was 1/2 inch 12 point but it must be 12 or 13 mm 12 point). Anyways I have a few questions. The one I'm getting is coming out of a 2 door so I know the e brake lines will be too short. I'm planning on using this kit for the new shock mounts and spring pads:

My first question is do you all think I will be ok welding those new brackets on with my 150 mig welder or do I need to have someone else do it? I'm a very good mig welder but have read online where some people advised against using a mig. I'm also wanting to weld the axle tubes to the housing so same question for that. I have read that you can only do about 2 in. at a time in order to not warp the tubes.

My next question is about the brakes. I'm going to try to use my stock brake master cylinder and from what I've read any 99-02 explorer should just hook right up to my existing brake system. Can anyone confirm this? Any other tips about the swap would be appreciated.
