I have a 99 xlt step side 4x4 bone stock. When I bought it the 4x4 never worked. A bunch of crap later and had no vacuum lines to the hubs. I just took the hub face off, cut the screen so you can just push to unlock and lock in the hubs. I went off road to see if that would work and I think it did in 4hi I went to disengage back to 2wd when I noticed the hubs never unlocked. I took the transfer case motor off to see if it was in 2wd and it is but the hubs won't come unlocked. Tried all combinations and nothing. Can I drive with the hubs locked in and the front drive shaft spinning or can I do something to unlock them. Can someone please help me with the hubs?
