Eating Shift Solenoids
I have searched but have not really found anyone with a similar issue to the one I'm experiencing. First I drive a 2009 Ford Ranger XLT with 2.3L 4 cylinder with 2WD automatic transmission . About a year ago my O/D light was flashing and took it to a local transmission shop where they pulled a code for shift solenoid B and replaced it. Things were fine for 6 months then same thing happened with the flashing o/d light and code for shift solenoid B. They replaced for free since they said the part was under warranty. Now six months later O/D light starts flashing but this time the check engine light also comes on. Take it to a different place but they pull the same PO755 code for a shift solenoid. Has anyone else heard or know about any reason my truck would be eating through shift Solenoids other than just got really unlucky with the two replacements?
