Default Front bearings on 08

Hi Guys

I just recently changed out the brakes and rotors on my 08 - 2 wheel drive. I was surprised to find that I had to pull the bearings from the originals to change out the rotors. But anyway is there a torque spec on the bearing hold down nut? I tried to tighten it as much as the stock set up was and it was not very tight at all but after a 100 miles now have developed a little shimmy at 60 mph.

Thanks

This may be way out in left field but......I have had front bearings changed in my old 1990 a few times and each time my mechanic told me to come back in a few days to have them tightened again as they work loose when new and should be checked. I hope this helps.

Dant
I think your mechanic is right because the bearings were a little loose. Tightened em up and problem solved.
I was just wondering if there is a torque spec on them.

I do not have my Haynes manual here right now but surely the torque spec should be there. My mechanic is next door so he just instructs me to stop in a week to have them tightened. I'm happy it worked. Dave
