This is going to be long winded

So what happening now this morning it was little chilly about 40 degrees my daughter was leaving to go to school and she back up fine put the truck in drive and it did not want to move forward restarted the truck and forward pulled fine until she slowed down didnt want to pull again so restarted same results about mid day was around 70 my son drove the truck with no issues got home around 55 truck acted like it did this morning very confused thinking pcm tps fluid looks fine in color and level no odd noise daughter said she notice a miss driving home in the rain gas millage seams to have gone down also

Backing up to 6 months ago

Bought the truck and noticed the o/d light flashing after about 30 miles of driving shutting the truck off and restarting problem goes away for about another 30 fluid color and levels fine so changed valve body and all solenoids fluid filter and gaskets with remanned cert and test valve body o/d still did same all gears shifted

Now BEATING MY HEAD AGAINST THE WALL WONDERING REBUILD THE TRANS OR JUST A SENSOR/WIRING ISSUE

Sounds like your torque converter is failing from the symptoms you are describing.

thought about that to but my question is why would shutting the truck off and restarting make it work or is the pcm sensing pressure problems and going into fail safe and would air temperature really affect it that way

Did you change the VSS? $20 and 10 minutes. 98,99 and 2000 get all info from the one vss in the rear diff and tgat info feeds the transmission? GIGO

i replaced the sensor the day after the codes were pulled had a friend tell me he think the computer needs to be flashed acting like a computet from an exploret
