Do you have a specific occurrence (make, model & year) of this front locker from the factory?

Factory offered front lockers in general are very rare for "American made trucks".

I know the rebirth of the Dodge Powerwagon, Porsche Cayenne, Jeep Rubicon, and a few others (H2/H3?) had/have a true front & rear locker setup from the factory...but nothing else comes to mind when talking a true front locking differential.

Note, we aren't talking about a front LSD - which many other vehicles offer (still not available in a Ranger from the factory though).

They didn't offer jet propulsion either....but I don't have a link that says that.

Feel free to prove to us that they were offered though.

Oh this could be it...that might explain a few things for him.

The super duties didn't even have lockers in the rear end up until recently... Let alone the front.

We have a 2006 f350 super duty 4x4 and it has a rear limited slip and open front differential..

The full body Broncos had a d44 front locker. Any fleet f250 with a d60 had a locker.

Glad to see you've moved on from claiming front lockers were offered in Rangers direct from Ford at least.....so we have slight progress here.

Do you have a link to additional verifiable information or anything to support this new claim of yours?

I see tons of front lockers for those axles being offered from the aftermarket (which would imply they were not offered by Ford from the factory). I also see numerous threads on other forums about people wanting to add them (which would also imply they were not offered by Ford from the factory)....but nothing about them being "stock".

I also certainly haven't seen anything along the lines of "any fleet f250 with a d60 had a locker" (again, talking a front locking differential here).....

It's not offered on the current "build & price" feature from Ford (rear yes, front no).

I would have to think any front "traction aiding device" from the factory would have been a limited slip (at most) - not a true locking differential.

A locked front axle isn't a fun on-road driving experience.

I am an ASE certified mastertech. And I can say that you are certifiably insane.

You are a hard headed goat. Why don't you show us any kind of proof of your claims.

That's right, you can't cause it has never happened.

Funny, our fleet 350 doesn't have a front locker. Is is it just a 250 only thing?

None had front lockers. Older Broncos had the optional trak-lok I believe starting in 1966 or '67. Some of the older ford trucks also had the front trak-lok but only came with the snow plow equipment option. Trak-lok is a weak attempt at a limited slip. Some fords (cant remember years or models) had a factory REAR detroit locker but pretty rare.

my f250 (which had a d50) had locking hubs not a locking diff. The front diff was open.

I may look dumb, but I'm not that dumb.. It was wet, very wet actually.. that's why I decided to test it. Everything engaged, just didn't disengage like I think it was suppose to.

Pissing match aside of course.

Yeah kinda came off topic..

Anyway, it's probably because the 2007 has the live front axle shafts while the 98 had manual lockouts.
