Problem with truck after replacing shifter bushings
I have a 1994 Ranger 4.0 4x4. 196k on body 53k on rebuilt trans and motor. 6" lift on 33s with 4.88 gears front and rear. I recently got some free time from work and decided to take the truck through a couple mud holes since it has been raining lately in good o'le fort bragg, nc. The truck preformed flawlessly as it always has, my little tonka toy. I had plenty of power with the 4.0 and 4.88 gears to crawl up the steepest hills. I later got home and decided to change my shifter bushings to fix the loose shifter feel. I went to my local parts store and came home to treat my baby. I replace it with no troubles at all. Content, I put everything back together to go get gas... I go to pull out the drive way and I instantly noticed the lack of acceleration! It's driving me crazy, the truck goes into gear without any troubles. The engine will just rev without much of any acceleration. I barely was able to make it back up the hill in my driveway. There's no leaks, the clutch pedal feels firm & the fluid is full. It's driving me crazy I'm a medic not a mechanic honestly lol. I can get around though and generally manage. I do have a habit of trying to fix things and breaking two more things in it's place. Added tidbit: when accelerating it feels like the clutch isn't full disengaged and it's as though I'm trying to drive with my clutch pushed in half way even though it's completely released.
