Default 94 Ranger wont shift under WOT

I have a 94 4.0 ranger with auto trans. It drives fine other that under heavy throttle or WOT. It pulls like normal but if you keep laid into it the truck wont shift until you lift off the gas, it feels as if you hit the rev limiter at just over 3500 rpms. It is totally weird. I have switched the processor to see if that would fix it (didn't) I replaced the cat (cuz it was plugged but still didnt help the shifting problem), I have swapped out the coil pack and still nothing. I recently rebuilt the transmission myself (I am pretty sure I got everything right).

If anyone out there has experienced the same problem and knows the fix I would greatly appreciate it. Any and all ideas are welcome. I am getting rather upset with this truck

Default Re: 94 Ranger wont shift under WOT

I am having a similar problem with my 02 Ranger. I know this is an old message but if you are still using this forum and found out what was causing the problem, please post the fix so I can repair mine. Thanks
