Manual BW1350 on a 2002 trans?
Need to pick your guy's brains a little because I am having trouble finding answers. I found a manual BW1350 with shift linkage locally on craigslist for a good price. According to TRS, the last year Ford put the 1350 in the ranger was 90, then they switched to the 1354. Does anyone know how different the 1350 and 1354 are as far as mounting? Obviously this will not work with my 2wd trans anyway but I have a lead on a 4wd one for my 3.0. Now I know that the 3.0 was not introduced until 93 so the odds are not in my favor. The 4wd bug has got me and I really want to go with a manual transfer case just to make life easier.
Basically does anyone know if a manual 1350 will bolt up to a 2002 4wd transmission from a 3.0? Thanks.

Yes it will, a guy on RF ran a 1350 in his 4wd swapped 03 Ranger with a 3.0.

If you are 100% on that you may have just cost me a ton of money, lol. The only info on the difference between the 1350 and the 1354 is that the 1350 commonly has a spline front driveshaft connection and the 1354 has a slip yoke.

if that is true then you'd just have to either modify a driveshaft or have one made.

No i think u can get one out of an older explorer.
I picked up a 1354m from a 90 ranger and was told to find a driveshaft from like a 92 explorer

Look for yourself. He may have mentioned what his driveshaft came out of too. I'm pretty sure it will have to come from something with a 1350.

Actually the t-case I found comes with a drive shaft for either an early ranger or b2. Thanks for the link. You were one of the people I was hoping would see this thread, lol.
