Default need help!

Is there an actuator on the front axle of a 99 ford ranger 3.0 I can't find one at all all I c is a vacuum line on top of the pumpkin and my axle is not engaging into 4x4 everything else is working I changed it over from pvh to manual locking hubs and closed off the vacuum from the driver pass. Side wheels am I missing something?????

nope no actuator on the pumpkin just the hubs

Ok does the vaccum line on pumpking need to be blocked off aswell ?

wherever there is a line it needs to be plugged but that doesnt sound related to your problem...when you select 4wd is the front driveshaft moving if the hubs are unlocked?

Are you sure that line isn't the breather tube for the front axle? If it is the breather, don't block it! Are you sure the transfer case is engaging? Might want to test the shift motor.

I changed the shift motor put a brand new one on and shifted to 4x4 and took it off to see if it shifted and it did I put it back on and tried to turn the front drive shaft and it wouldnt turn had some one move the drive the truck forward and see that the drive shaft is turning

It was the breather tube

So the transfer case is engaging. Are you sure that you installed the hubs correctly and that they are engaged?

The hubs are in the lock position and I'm positive I put them on correctly

Also, just out of curiosity, what symptoms make you think the 4x4 still isn't engaging?

I put it in 4x4 and it won't move rear tires just spin ( I live in Maine snow on the ground) every thing except the front axle is turning when I try to go

If the front drive shaft is turning and the front wheels are not that would mean the hubs are not locking in. As much as it stinks I would take the hubs off and turn them while you have it in your hand to see if it is locking. If it is I would go back through the installation process to make sure everything is seated correctly.

The blinking light will indicate a bad GEM or speed sensor.

Ok so I had my brother over to help me out with my hubs unlocked the CV shafts spin like when I'm trying to move forward but now 4x4 and with the hubs locked in they dont spin
