Default Which brakes rotors do you recommend?

My rotors are in great shape, but, as they are impossible to get here (Im from Uruguay, not US) Im thinking in geting a new set with time, in order to have them in stock and ready to replace when the time arrives.

Searching in rockauto, I came accross 2 possibilities:

1- OEM Motorcraft, part number BRR-21 (my truck is 2WD and rear ABS only), $83.79 each rotor

2- Centric #12765049L and #12765049R (left rotor and right rotor) which are perforated and ranurated rotors, $67.79 each

I always prefer oem motorcraft replacement parts, but, which would you recommend me?

Remember, Im far away and american ford parts are not common here, so I hope you can give me a hand.

Thanks a lot!

I'd say just about any compatible flat-surface rotors should be fine. I put generic O'Reilly rotors on mine, and they've been running just fine. It's the pads that make the most difference.

I do recommend avoiding anything that's drilled, slotted, or anything like that though. You'll lose surface area for the pads to grab onto, and the benefits of those features aren't really applicable to a truck in the first place.

Great man, thanks a lot for your answer. I will go oem motorcraft rotors.

With s&h each one cost arround $190, not exactly cheap but as long as they work correctly is fine for me.
