Default Y / N: drain gearbox when replacing slave cylinder?

Quick Y/N: is there any reason a shop would drain the transmission when they do a clutch kit, flywheel, and slave cylinder?

Thank you for reading/responding!

You don't have to. I guess if they drained it prior to pulling it, that would make it a few pounds lighter. It's probably a good time to drain and replace the fluid, since the fill plug is a lot easier to get to with the transmission out of the truck, but no, it isn't necessary to do it.
