Default Transmission shifts rough

So question here about my 2003 Ranger XLT 4x4. Auto transmission. Noticed when the RPM's are close to 2,000 I can feel the transmission shift harder than normal, usually dont feel it. Driving on bare road and going about 45 mph/2,000 rpms roughly and could feel the shift/kick. Noticed this awhile back while using 4x4. Not sure what's going on.
Any ideas/help would be very appreciated. Don't want to to take a shop if I dont have too.

Thanks for the help in advance.
