Default hurst shifter.

im surprized when i did a search there was nothing posted about the hurst. ive had mine for almost 3 years now. the knob seemed a little short for me. i added a 2" extention to mine because it felt like i was leaning forward to reach the knob in 1,3&5. now my hand can rest comfortably while i shift without streaching for the knob. the only negitive thing i have to say about mine is the noise, the factory boot and the way the stock lever is made really does a effective job of cancelling noise. its not extremly bad, but it is noticeable. i feel its well worth the money. and because it has a threadedshaft, you can easily put on any knob you want. 3/8-16 threads. the only reason i kept my old stock shifter is so when the day comes to "retire" the truck, im taking the hurst with me-and puting in the next ranger i get. yes in the 1st pic i had the shifter boot on backwards. back when i bought mine it was only about $200. i think they are around $220 now.

Very cool. I have seen them for my truck on ebay for a little over $100. Just haven't made the investment yet. Thanks for sharing.

If my truck was a stick I would get one...

Wonder if they have one for a new civic, toss one of those in mine...haha.

There a great mod. I got a two inch off set extension for mine and made it a lot easier to reach and shift. For the noise stuff a non flammable foam insulation in the boot, it helps a lot.

You'll find the boots at Shift boot store - RedlineGoods leather shift boots and the install instructions here:Shift boot store - RedlineGoods leather shift boots I originally gave them the dimensions and install instructions several years back when they first started. The install instructions have better photos from my originals. They are great guys to work with and make a great product.
