Default Transmissions fit guide

Could anybody tell me what manual transmissions fit what truck? I have a 2011 ranger that the second that stuck to the main shaft. I was looking to but a new or refurbished tranny from Allstate gear and was wandering if all the years were the same regardless of it being a M50D or a M5R1. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

The m5od-r1 and m5r1 are the same, just get the one that goes with your motor ie the bellhousing patterns are different. Just see wat motor you got and fine the m5r1 that'll bolt to it

What happened to the one you have?

You need an M5OD-R1HD from a 2001+ ranger.

This. It needs to have the hole for the output shaft speed sensor in the tailshaft.

Also, if your truck is a 4x4, it needs to come from a 4x4.

Second gear broke in half and messed the main shaft up pretty bad. Parts alone from form are 800+ and that's not including the aftermarket stuff to go in it. Its a 4x4 truck also with the 4.0 in it. I shifted from first to second and when I did it really didn't meek a noise but whenever I went to go to third, third wasn't their and I was still in second. The synchronizer that I thought was going bad for quite some time actually was that gear broke I'm guessing or the synchronizer was bad and it's what messed the gear up. Either way I was trying to see if I could find a new transmission or a rebuilt one to look at my options.

I'm finding it hard to believe you actually broke a gear. If it stayed in second when you shifted I to third, then either the shift forks have somehow cone out of alignment or have broken off inside the trans. First time I've heard of this happening on a manual ranger. Anyways, like stated above, 01+ M5OD-R1HD from a 4x4 4.0 ranger.

Check out smart parts auto i looked at them a while back they sell rebuilds and claim to use upgraded internals to handle high horsepower and off road applications. The M5OD-HD is just a misnomer its not actually any stronger than the standard version it just has different first gear ratios to help it get better power and mileage from the SOHC 4.0l which has a lot more torque and power than the older engine options.
