Anyone know where the VIN is located on the block - 88 2.3 efi. I want to be sure what the replacement motor is from before a tuneup.

There are 2 other places it is available, but as I stated, I am looking for the number on the BLOCK.

Why does it matter if you need the vin

Again, as I said in the post, I am not sure what the replacement motor was out of. My suspicion- it is from a Tempo. This I based on the spark plugs that were in the motor and a small difference in the vacuum plumbing.
