When that Torsen goes, you're very lucky if you're even able to MOVE the truck in the driveway. Usually when that carrier goes, it takes out the ring and pinion with it, leaving gear teeth in the bottom of the case that could and likely will end up jamming between the R&P.
And these cases, the chains don't just go. They get sloppy....the only time they snap is when they are very very heavily abused. And even then, the housing usually splits in half loooooooooong before the chain lets go when abused..
