Question trying to swap C4 for a T5

i currently have a C4 in the truck and i'm wanting to convert it to a T5 tranny. i need some help to determine what year T5 i should buy as well as what all other parts i would need to make the conversion a lot easier. any suggestions or ideas about what all i would need to do would be greatly appreciated. thanks in advance.

It seems as though no one swaps in 5 speeds behind the v8's. I'm trying to find the same kind of info. Every thread i've read on regarding V8's has an auto trans behind it.

yea, thats what i was thinking. it' hard to believe nobody has done this swap. someone has to have done it before.

Still trying to find info on the T5 swap? Another thing, your stall is set to 3500 for the C4, doin alot of racing?

i just deicded to rebuild the C4. the stall in the tranny now is a 3000 stall. i race it a little bit, but mostly just playing around on the streets. it runs pretty decent for being a pretty stock motor, f-cam, 351 heads. at the track it ran a 12.2 in the 1/4. it could go faster im sure, but i need to change the rear gear. it's got 3.73's right now and i wanna go to a 3.55. give a little more top end.
