Default drive shaft torque?

Gotta replace my transmission output seal. Only question I have on the job is, what's the torque for the drive shaft bolts at the aft end? '08 ranger sport 2wd

Tight. lol.

You can't really get a torque wrench where you need it to do it "properly". Heck you can't really get a ratchet in there. Clearances are kinda tight.

I end up using two open/boxed end wrenches doubled up to loosen and tighten the bolts. 12pt 12mm I believe. They've got locktite on them from the factory.

Ha ok. I was wondering if there even technically was a torque. Maybe use a crossfit if I had to. Just paranoid about a bolt coming out

Just get 'em on there good, you've got nothing to worry about. Use new locktite if it'll make you feel more comfortable about it.

4x4's have 8 of those bolts and I've never had a problem.
