OK, well we know that the 4x4 CM (command module) is good, because we are hearing a click at the T-case, that we weren't before we reconnected the CM.

if the T-case motor is ceased, you can try shooting some WD-40, or similar penetrating oil (make sure that it is safe on electronics) into the motor. let it sit for a little while to soak in and lube everything up, then give it a whirl.

If the Motor is good, then your hubs aren't working properly, then what I said previously applies. Manual hubs.

yeah, try that with the motor out. and here here on the manual hubs. I want them so I can save gas lol. I'll probably do it all at once with the SL, and tires.... when I have a few grand kicking around... lol

I have a 1994 and the automatic hub is bad. From what I understand it is a common problem especially in cold weather

Probably would get better help if you posted something helpful.
Try taking the motor off the t-case and seeing if it is seized or dirty inside. I have a similar problem but 4-hi works fine, it just wont go into 4-low. One of these days I'm going to pull that motor out. Low range would have been useful a few times...
