how do I remove my axle shafts
I'm wanting to take my axles shafts out to swap to disk brakes from a mustang and my dad wants me to remove the axleshafts oposed to sloting the bracket the axles out any way because I'm swapping to a posi so it should be esier I'm to understand I just gotta drain the gear oil and remove some c clips is this corrector is it like a semi truck where it bolts in

Its a little more complicated than that, but still under rocket science. Remove the rear cover, take a small bolt out that holds the spider gear shaft in, remove the shaft, push the axels in, remove the C clips, pull the axels out.

Thanks for the instructions esier than I thought it'd be and for those of you that do this disc brake swap for the amount of work it was to mount the brackets the right way itl probly be worth it

You have to slot the bracket either way. You have no choice. The bracket has to be mounted on the inside of the axle flange for spacing.
You have to remove the axle shafts anyways to remove the rear drum backing plates.

Okay didn't realize that thanks but i just reread an article on the swap and was wondering if I have to worry about the clearence if I plan on using the gt/v6 calipers and sorry its a touch screen keyboard

Just read your article good info thanks for posting that I just figured people were trying to save time cuttin em off with a sawzall or sumthin the article I read left that part out I got another question tho r u using a different master cylinder

I am not. And no it's not for saving time it's for the correct spacing. You will have no issue with gt set up
