I have a 93 ranger 5 speed 4x2 with a 94 4.0 motor im have an issue getting the tranny to built up to the motor top two bolts are narrower on motor and wider on trany can I switch the bell housing to make it work?

I just realized bell housing on my 3.0 standard trany doesn't un bolt all one solid piece with tranny any ideas?

If the tranny your trying to bolt on came out of a 2.3, than it shouldn't work. You will have to buy a conversion kit.

would a conversion kit work if it was out a 3.0... the trany is a 3.0 93 and I have a motor that is a 4.0 94 the bolts don't line up and the bell housing cant be changed its all one piece and I looked into a adapter but none available are there any other things I could do or should I get a 4.0 tranny ?

Yeah I'm pretty sure it's a different kit though. Call oreileys and tell them what the tranny came out of and what your wanting to mount it to and they'll tell u the kit cost.
