3.0 4r44e trans problrms/ 3.0 to 4.0 trans swap
So my 4r45e behind my 97 3.0 today I think finally decided to take a shit. Its been randomly slipping for a little while and today while in drive it did it and won't drive. Works in 1 and 2 just not drive and reverse. Anglyone have a idea what this could be/ what to do about it. I've gone to my local pick and pull and can't find any 3.0 but a shit ton of 4.0. I know that they're different bell housing patterns so I'm wondering g if anyone knows if I can remove the bell housing off my 4r44e and put it on one I pull from a 4.0 presumably a 5r55e? Any help or ideas would be greatly appreciated. Its a 4x4 also
