Default explorer 8.8 swap plus lowering

So here's my question. I've tried searching this several ways with 0 results. I'm swaping a svo 2.3t into a ranger, my 86 svo got rear ended & totaled. I've seen a few places about doing a explorer rear swap, but all those articles about doing tell you how to do it with keeping the Springs on top of the axle & relocating the spring pads to the top of the axle. What I want to do is lower said ranger, so if I leave the spring pads in the stock explorer location, would that basically be the same as doing a spring flip on a stock ranger rear?

Yeah just leave the spring perches on the bottom it's the same as a flip kit on a ranger. If you use the explorer leafs it will leave your truck at stock hight in the back. But if you use the ranger leafs it will be the same as a 3inch lowering kit in the rear.

Your welcome. Also if you put explorer leafs on a stock ranger rearend it adds 3 inches of lift
