Hey there. I've been reading your posts and I'm wondering if you can answer a few questions. I'm not a Ranger owner but own a (yes you can laugh) 1995 Aerostar with a built 4.0 OHV. I have included the details on this motor in my next post.
I'm just the owner, not the builder or mechanic. The guy who built this engine said for best results I would probably want to get it tuned. Being very ignorant, I assumed that we would see how it ran and performed after it was installed before looking at tuning. We have it running now, but not really good enough to drive. Now I find out "tuning" the EEC type 4.0 isn't that simple.
My question for you is: do you think my injector/MAF/TB combination could be that far out to cause the motor to run this crappy? I'm wondering if I need to upsize any or all of them. Can't seem to find someone who can tell me what I need. Any thoughts?
