I wanted the 5.0, in fact I havn't bought a 4.0 yet so its still a possibility. Just the stock 3.0 trans will bolt up to the 4.0 so i would save me a few bucks. However, if they'res not too much more involved in a 5.0 swap I think I would do it.
And for the SAS I've literally just used a basic socket set, a grinder,right-angle drill and sawzaw. I bolted in the coil buckets. I just need to fine someone to weld up my trac bar.

ur truck is freaking sick....i wanna SAS so badly but theres no way id be able to do it all myself not mechanically advanced enough....ur doing a 4.0 swap? why not the 5.0 or a cummins 4bt?
