hey alls i do is make some thin slices into the meat on both sides to absorb the juices better, get a good tritip, and marrinated it for a few hours minimum in lawrys 30 minute marinade, its called pineapple teryaki or something like that. suuuuuuper good, its my favorite marinade, i also flip the meat a few times while its marinading in the bag, and work the sauce into it. cook it on a medium to low heat, to cook it all the way through or a little hotter if you like it a lil bloody. that is my favorite thing to bbq, i have gotten good at it.
