They don't really need to be car guys. As long as you read the extravaganza thread on here, and read all the directions thouroughly the kit comes with you'll be ok. But like you said, you can always have a shop do it.
-
yeah im old enough lol but wasnt really lucky on car guys though never met much of them
-
Yea, there may need to be some tweaking, but they line up pretty well. They are adjustable for the most part. The only thing that won't line up will be your hitch. But I left mine hanging down because it doesn't look that bad. There is a thread in here somewhere about cutting it and making it fit right up under your bumber. Yea there are some that do that, but it really just depends on where you're located and where they are. Some guys would come out with the right incentives. I say (if you're old enough) get a couple cases of beer, order some pizza and have some friends come out and help if you didn't wanna have a shop do it.

so when you got the body kit done was all the bumpers lined up correctly? it would be sweet if there was an acutal club for just rangers like were they travel together and do swap meets.

Well my buddies charged me like $100 a piece and one of them broke a $500 piece on my truck that I had to replace so, I would have a shop do it personally. I love it raised. I pull up next to full size trucks and sit as high or higher than they do.
-
yeah i just got that same kit no one to help me do it i guess i wasnt blessed with buddies like you lol but thats life i have to pay my shop like 400 to do it but any way but atleast the tires and the lift can get done. but the other stuff like the fog lights and bar i put them on myself. so how do you like it since you raised it up?

Yea, I have the 3 in BL from Performance Accessories. I love it. It was a pretty easy install. Me and 2 of my buddies did it in about 6 hours. Would have taken less time, but the radiator took longer than expected. As far as the BFG's go, they really aren't that noisy. If you have your windows up you can barely hear them. I usually have my radio cranked anyway. But they give off nice noise but it's not over the top. And your Gf shouldn't be complaining lol, most girls love that shit. Well at least the ones I know do anyway. But it's really not that bad up a step up with the lift and tires. Overall about a 5-6 inch total lift.

thanks a lot so how does the bf muds do with noise? i dont really want to annoy my girlfriend with the rumble of the tire because shes all ready upset that she is gonna have to climb in my truck when i ger the 3in body lift on! lol any way do you have the 3in body lift on your truck? and if so how do you like it?

I am running BFG M/T KM2's right now. Before I got these, I was looking at Cooper Discoverers STT, but after doing some research I found that cooper's like to cup on the bigger tread tires. Out of all the M/T you can't go better than KM2's. But if you're just looking for an agressive A/T tire I would go with BFG. Just don't try goin muddin with those. If you do, def go with KM2's. BFG A/t's wear better, and they actually perform better than pretty much all other A/T's out there. General Grabber makes a solid A/T as well.
