Thanks really appreciate all the info !

You should probably get 600-650lb shocks. 10" long with extended eyelets for the lower mount. If you check out the coilover threads on R/F you'll find more details
-
So you buy the brackets and then what size coils and shocks do you get ? How many inches of lift would it be or is this solely a more comftorable ride type of thing ?
-
There is a guy on R/F selling the brackets, they are expensive but worth it since RCD no longer makes them
-
Is there a kit you can buy ? If so how much ?
-
Coilover shocks are a superior suspension setup because you can buy shocks with specific up and down travel and load ratings. Even if you don't offroad very often coilovers offer a much smoother ride compared to torsion bars

Hello, ive been reading alot of threads lately on suspension and noticed you really know what your talking about so i figured id ask you. So i have a 2002 ford ranger xlt 4x4 with the dreaded torsion bars, at the moment it has 3 inch body lift on 33s and am wondering what exactly the coil over conversion helps with and if its worth it for occasional off roading and trails. most of the time to and from school and work though. but i love the look of lifted quality trucks. btw i live in ohio so not any desert running or anything. Lol
