Question Soft tonneau cover protectants.

So, I did a search on this subject, and read this thread.
What to use on Soft Tonneau Cover?

My reason for searching this subject is that some protectants leave streaks along the sides of the bed after it rains.
I'm thinking it might be the silicone based products that are most susceptible to this.
If I recall, the last one I used that I happened to have on the shelf was an Eagle One product.

Any of the products mentioned in the above thread avoid this problem?
Any other recommendations?

Extang used to recommend 303 Protectant but it does leave some streaks down the sides particularly if you put on a good heavy coat or two coats . Extang now has their own product called Tono Tonic but it is pricey.

I use 303 Protectant on mine.

The idea of using black shoe polish has crossed my mind.

I use 303 Aerospace - for the UV protection. It's pricey, hence I haven't put enough on at one time to have it drip...
