Washed, waxed and clay bared the VW beetle today. It felt weird like wet sand sand paper. I got it nice and smooth now. Interior will come during the week it is bad.

That's cause when I washed and waxed the truck. I got reflections of the beetle. I had to be equal.

2008 Subaru Impreza (2 years worth of using automatic carwashes with brushes):
process used:
-wash/dry
-calybar
-Menzerna SIP on rotary
-Menzerna Nano polish on DA
-Waxed with Meguiar's M26
-Topped off with Zaino Gloss Enhancing Glaze

gosh is it me or does that clay bar put ur shoulder to work? im sore and it didnt turn out like ur guys i got that meguiers kit and its not like yours. what else do you use?

please elaborate.... what were your expectations of the clay bar? A Clay Bar will NOT remove any defects in your paint. Meaning it will NOT remove scratches and swirls and such. What it WILL do, is remove debris (over spray, fallout, dirt, etc.) that is embedded in your clearcoat that a normal wash will not be able to remove. Another way of looking at it; a clay bar will "smooth" your paint, not by filling anything in, but removing stuff stuck in your paint.
