Yeah, the HFT DA is perfect for beginners. Like Yeller told me, A DA is a DA, same internal parts but upscale ones offer more options and are obviously better quality. I have used the HFT DA on multiple vehicles and works great. Best part is that I only part is that I only paid $50 for it. I'd say go for it.

Unless you have some experience, I would suggest a Dual Action Polisher. Even if you do have experience, I still suggest the Dual Action Polisher.
