Carpet cleaned, and seats smelling new
Well, today i gathered the cahones to tackle a little job that I've been wanting to do since I got my truck, clean the seats and carpet! Not a real hard job, but one of teh bolts wouldnt come out so i just cut the carpet around it. Huge difference if you ask me,plus it smells like simple green now lol
^ That's the piece that i left in and cut around, the darn t50 bolt was frozen and I already broke one socket trying to get it off so i said hell with it
The previos owner obviously never took the seat off, or even bothered to clean up his coffee spills
^ Lil bit of rust, but im not going to bother much with it, poured a pint( not really ) of por-15 in there and just let it lock in that rust.
Not he best after pic, but gives an idea of the cleanliness.
Had a lot of close calls for rain today so probably took me an hour or 2 to remove, clean, and install, but took FOREVER to dry out. I cheated a bit and shoved it back in there after 5 hours and cracked the windows lol

Re: Carpet cleaned, and seats smelling new
looks real nice, here in TX the carpet would dry in less than 10 seconds. What besides simple green did you use?

Re: Carpet cleaned, and seats smelling new
Some Simple green, a brush and a garden hose. I also used spot cleaner , i forget the name but its in a yellow can and its a spray foam. I think it's around 3-4$.

Re: Carpet cleaned, and seats smelling new
Hehe I remember cleaning my carpet. I actually took the whole thing out and got some cans of the foamy cleaner (I ended up going thru five), scrubbed that in, then took it to the self car wash and sprayed all of the nasty stuff out. So worth it.
I think yours may have been a little more nasty than mine though so it looks much better.

Wish it was like that here... we had it sitting out for 3 days and even then it was still damp some.

Re: Carpet cleaned, and seats smelling new
I'm gonna tackle my carpets today, just trying to get the motivation to do it. They're not too bad, but I am trying to make it look factory clean. I removed Jump seats, and Jack so I have lots of room in the back now. I even removed the center console. I don't know what to do with the extra room now, so any suggestions I would entertain.
