I'm going to shampoo the carpet and possibly the seats when I pull them out, but I'm hanging on a wing and a prayer.

So any ideas?
Start smoking and you wont notice the smell.

I feel your pain, OP. My truck was also smoked in by previous owner

lots and lots and lots of scrubbing. any carpet is going to hold the smoke smell in. Clean the air vents out too. there were lots of ash in mine

a good air freshener helps too, after everything is nice and clean

After I use simple green on everything I suck out the extra moisture with my shopvac and try to dry it. If I leave it too damp then after a while youll see clean spots or white spots.
