if your pretty steady handed, you can use a toothpick and touch-up paint to fill in the smaller chips and scratches, wait a couple of days and wax everything. Meguiars has a scratch and swirl filler which works pretty good...Eagle One "Nano" is good too. also get a polishing compound and go over some of the bad areas (carefully)....I also use Lucas "Slick Stuff" between washes to give it a "wet" look...it helps hide some imperfections. I'm a firm believer in wiping down every few days and waxing at least 3 times a year and my paint stays smooth and slick all the time....lastly...good luck!

mothers ultimate compound, mothers ultimate polish and mothers ultimate wax works great in that order, easy to use and hard to mess up, with great results. make sure you wash the truck first, and apply the compound, polish & wax in the shade. some hand buffing pads and clean old socks turned inside out are always good to have too.
