the moisture has gotten down into the foam. what we do at the shop for flood cars (a little more extreme than what you have) is pull the seat out, strip them down, wash everything with laundry detergent and lysol. let them air dry completely, then reinstall. 99% of the time, this will get rid of any and all smells, plus gets your covers clean. we also do it to the carpet, along with replacing the carpet pad. but that's more for cars that have been sitting in a lot of water.

You could lay down some clean towels on the seats
To pick up most of the moisture, and after removing the wet towels,
You could than try using a hair dryer on the seats

usually a day or two. we try to hang them, and put fan on them to help speed it up. if you can get them in the sun, that will help as well.

the covers will dry quickly.

i just had that same issue, i work in my truck and get in it when i am soaked with sweat so i have a outline of my body on the seat. but what i did is i took the seats out got a carpet cleaner with a hose attachment and used some carpet cleaning soap and oxi-clean cleaned them with that until the water came out clear and the spots on the seats where gone then i went over them with tide and they smell nice and fresh. then once i got them done i put them back in and drove around in the truck for about an hour with the AC on full blast and the windows up and that pulled most of the mositare out of the seats. to let them finish drying i just opened all the windows and let them air out, i was almost 90 degrees here last night so they are nice and dry.

I would be cautious with putting a lot more water into the seats. the foam will hold it and unless it's open and able to "air out", that water will stay in there for a long time. we had a flood car (z3) that we needed to dry out the carpet. the foam was 3-4" thick in places. took us 2 weeks to fully dry it out.
